2024 Plywood Classic Regatta Results

Thanks to all those who came out to participate in this regatta. Many thanks to Andy and Jeff for manning the safety boat.  Extra special thanks to the supporters who came to watch and cheer on these intrepid racers!  There was a total of 4 wacky races such as those with a rabbit start (one after the other), around the moorings, etc.  Lots of fun and a great airshow above as a bonus!

2024 Plywood Classic Regatta

  • Open to all FYC Members, their guests & 2024 Students of FYC Sailing School
  • Sail your wooden boat of eighty feet or less
  • For a limited number of masochists, there are the sailing school Opti’s available
  • For those who truly wish to torture themselves, somewhere there are two 8′ Cape Cod Frosties

WHERE: Main Dock FYC 

WHEN: Saturday, September 14th

Skippers’ Meeting: 10am

1st RACE START: 11am

YOUR TORTURER: Jim MacKenzie (yes, the race committee can be bribed 😉)

THE IMPORTANT PART! COST: $0 BUT….Please Register Online Here ahead of time so we have an idea of number of participants. 

Prizes – please bring a $5-$10 item for the Prize Table eg. Wooden item, spinach, gift card etc. For more fun, consider wrapping the prize up!!

*Help for OPTI rigging and dragging to the dock starts at 9:00ish.

**Bring your own lunch, soft drinks and BYOB. 

***It’s London Air Show weekend so bring ear protection (from the jets and Rick G’s afterburners)
