The 2024 Pumpkin Regatta is open to FYC members and all FYC sailing school graduates since January of 2022, as well as racers from outside of FYC who are members in good standing with their class associations in Canada, or the US, or their sailing clubs are in good standing with Sail Canada.

Contact & Gate Access
If you need access to the Club on Friday evening to park your boat and trailer, we will arrange to have someone meet you at the Club gate. Turkey Dinner on Saturday Night
The 2024 Pumpkin Regatta welcomes racers from outside of our club for one of the last racing events of the year. We would like to celebrate this with a Turkey Dinner on Saturday night after the racing around 6:00pm! Cost will be $20 per person (Payment info below. Children under 10 eat Free!)
Turkey Dinner Menu: Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, peas, coleslaw, cranberries, buttered rolls, pies, whipped cream, coffee, tea and soft drinks/juice.

You can REGISTER HERE for both Regatta and Dinner. You can PAY in person at Registration on Saturday, September 28th…please bring CASH OR Payments for the Regatta and the Dinner can be made via e-transfer to fycpmnts(at symbol)rogers.com and please add a description about what the payment is for. *Note: No E-Transfers will be accepted after 5:00pm, Friday, September 24th.

Regatta Lunches
Saturday: Lunch will be available in Doug MacKenzie Hall during a break in racing
Sunday: Leftovers from the Turkey Dinner will be available after the racing while the scores are being tallied
*Our water in Doug MacKenzie Hall is potable and is tested regularly so you are encouraged to bring your own refillable water bottles.
Registration & Entry Fees for 2024
Registration can be done ONLINE HERE or you can register in person. (if registering in person, please contact Bonita ahead of time at the contact info above to let her know how many will be attending the regatta and the Turkey Dinner)
Registration and Fee Payment will be across from the Sailing School Building on Saturday, September 28 @ 8:30 – 10:00am. A reminder that Cash is welcome unless paying ahead of time via e-transfer.
Skippers Meeting (same place) = 10:00am
Fees:
Single-Handed = $35
Double-Handed = $60
Junior Single = $20
Junior Double = $30
Learn to Race = Free (have not sailed in a formal regatta before 2022)
Race Starts
Our race committee always gives preference to water-based starts. If that is not possible, for instance due to inclement weather or a shortage of volunteers, land-based starts will be used. See the sailing instructions below for more information.
- First Race: scheduled for Saturday at 11 AM.
- Last Race: no start sequence will begin after 1:30 PM on Sunday.

Accommodations
There are several hotels/motels not too far from Fanshawe Lake.
Or you can camp at Fanshawe Conservation Area next to our club! The campsite has hot showers and easy access to FYC which is within the campground. Please let us know at Registration if you will be camping as the FYC Gate is always locked.
